Now the biggest star of the present-day Bollywood is set to put his acting skills to litmus test with a hilarious role in his upcoming release Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani of PK and Munnabhai MBBS fame, Dunki has made headlines for a number of reasons.
The teaser of the movie has been released. The movie lovers, especially the King Khan fans, are awaiting a big DHAMAKA after getting a stellar glimpse of their favour star in the teaser. The teaser was released yesterday, the birthday of Sharukh Khan.
The king pens an emotional message
Sharing the teaser on X (formerly Twitter), King Khan has wrote, “A story of simple and real people trying to fulfill their dreams and desires. Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a relationship called Home! A heartwarming story by a heartwarming storyteller. It’s an honour to be a part of this journey and I hope you all come along with us. The #DunkiDrop1 is here…#Dunki releasing worldwide in cinemas this Christmas.”
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his heart-felt gratitude towards his admirers and fans on microblogging site X. It was his 58th birthday. He thanked his fans for showering so much love on him. Fans came and wished him late at night on his birthday. “I am but a mere actor. Nothing makes me happier, than, the fact that I can entertain u a bit. I live in a dream of your love. Thank u for allowing me to entertain you all,” he wrote. The actor confirmed that the teaser of Dunki, a movie where he will be seen with Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu, would be released on his birthday. “C u in the morning…on the screen & off it,” SRK added.
The plot of the movie
The teaser drops a hint about an encouraging story of four friends and their pursuit of reaching foreign shores. The story revolves around the life-changing journey that these friends will undertake to fulfil their dreams. Dunki is based on real-life experiences riveted around love and friendship to weave wildly different stories. Both heart-breaking and hilarious episodes go side by side.
The teaser will take you on a roller-coaster ride. The movie has several colourful characters essayed by Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover, in addition to Shah Rukh Khan. The brilliant ensemble is expected to do justice to their characters. Dunki will hit the big screen on the eve of Christmas.
Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu will be seen in the leading roles. Casting is one of the important aspects of movie making and Mukesh is master of the game. Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Mukesh commented, “Raju sir ke saath yeh meri third film hai, PK kiya tha phir Sanju kiya tha. Aur bohot saare ads kiye hain. Ek toh itne bade director Raju Hirani aur phir Shah Rukh sir, voh bhi Jawaan ke baad aa rahe hain ek toh.”
“Voh aisi film hai ki voh kahaani aapke sabke gharo main dil main aise bas jayegi that you will only talk about that film for the next 10 years. It’s such a beautiful story and the best combination with Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani. Usse bada combination mujhe lagta nahi kisi industry main hoga. Film industry main toh bilkul nahi. Dono apne game main top pe hain. Dono ek saath aa rahe hain toh kamaal ki baat hai”, he added.
There were some reports that the release of Dunki is likely to be delayed. However, it is now confirmed that the movie will be released in theatre halls on December 22 this year. Taran Adarsh, a renowned trade analyst, confirmed on X that Dunki would be released on the scheduled date.
