My experience flying with Air Canada EWR Terminal was fantastic and far better than I had anticipated. Everything about the trip went smoothly, comfortably, and professionally from the time I got to the terminal until I got on my aircraft. Although Newark is sometimes thought of as a chaotic place, my experience with Air Canada at Terminal A was anything but. Here is my personal assessment of the trip and the reasons I would gladly take another flight with Air Canada from EWR.
Easy Access to Terminal A
Operating out of the recently refurbished Terminal A at EWR, Air Canada is a huge improvement. Compared to other airport terminals, this one has a much more laid-back travel atmosphere and feels new, tidy, and contemporary. It was easy to go to Terminal A. I used a rideshare, and I didn’t have to waste time figuring out where to go because the designated drop-off location was well-organized and marked.
I was struck by the design as soon as I entered. There are wide paths, plenty of natural light, and informative information all over. The design of Terminal A seemed natural, and the ambiance was serene and friendly.
Efficient and Friendly Check-In
The check-in facility for Air Canada was well-staffed and easily accessible. I dealt with a kind and effective agent even though I had already checked in online and simply needed to check a bag. She gave me some useful advice regarding the terminal’s amenities in addition to promptly assisting me with tagging my luggage.
The overall ease of the process was one notable aspect. There were no hurried encounters or lengthy lineups. It was evident that Air Canada’s ground crew was committed to making passengers’ journeys less stressful.
Smooth Security Process
The new security checkpoint at Terminal A is among the nicest I’ve seen at an airport in the United States. There were several lanes open to keep traffic flowing, and the area was light and spacious. It took me less than ten minutes to get through security.
Travelers having access benefited from the availability and obvious marking of TSA PreCheck, which sped up the process. I was quite impressed by how well-organized and serene everything was. There was no needless waiting or confusion, and the TSA officers were kind and effective.
Excellent Terminal Amenities
The time I spent in the terminal itself was among the highlights of my trip. There are several eateries, cafes, and stores in the new Terminal A that make waiting for a flight very fun.
At a sleek, contemporary café that offered fresh salads and sandwiches, I had a light meal. Additionally, there were luxury coffee shops, pizza, and bagels centered in New Jersey and New York. I could simply plug in my electronics while unwinding because the terminal was pristine and had plenty of charging outlets.
On-Time and Organized Boarding
Boarding my Air Canada flight was straightforward and timely. The gate agents were friendly and professional, clearly announcing boarding zones and helping passengers line up smoothly. There was no crowding or chaos—just an orderly and well-managed process.
I especially appreciated the efficiency with which everything was handled. Boarding started exactly when it was scheduled, and there were plenty of gate staff available to answer questions and keep things moving.
A Comfortable In-Flight Experience
Once on board, I was welcomed with a smile by the Air Canada flight crew. Their professionalism and friendliness really stood out. Even though I was flying in economy, the seat was comfortable, with ample legroom for a short-haul international flight.
Air Canada offers seatback entertainment with a great selection of movies, TV shows, and music. The interface was easy to navigate, and I was able to relax with a movie right after takeoff. The in-flight service was efficient—beverages and snacks were served with care, and the flight attendants were attentive throughout the journey.
Final Thoughts
It was refreshing to fly with Air Canada out of Terminal A in Newark. The terminal was modern and clean, check-in was simple, and the in-flight crew and ground crew provided excellent service. Air Canada’s cooperation with EWR’s renovated Terminal A only serves to strengthen the airline’s commitment to providing a customer-first experience.
I strongly suggest Air Canada, based in Newark, for anyone traveling to Canada or anywhere. It’s a fun, easy, and stress-free way to start your journey. I felt at ease, valued, and prepared for my next stop when I walked out of the airport. I would definitely fly this trip again.
