Incentives Under Gujarat Anna Brahma Yojana:

  • Assistance for BPL Families: BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in the state will receive Rs. 1,000 in April.
  • Electricity Duty: For BPL families, the electricity duty will be raised to Rs. 1.50, applicable on the consumption of 50 units instead of the previous 30 units.
  • Electricity Bill Relief: Small industries, factories, and MSMEs won’t have to pay fixed charges on their electricity bills for April.
  • Support for Gaushalas and Cattle Ponds: A financial aid of Rs. 30 to 35 crore will be allocated to gaushalas (cow shelters) and cattle ponds. Rs. 25 per animal for April 2020 will be provided to these facilities.
  • Advance Allowance for Pensioners: Pensioners, including senior citizens, widows, and persons with disabilities, will receive an advance allowance.
  • Directing Businesses to Pay Wages: Small and large businesses, as well as MSMEs, are directed to pay their employees’ salaries and wages without deductions throughout the entire lockdown period, which extends until April 14, 2020.
